DESIGN/DURABILITY
DESIGN/DURABILITY
Our Curly Tail Jerkshad is a hybrid design that has fantastic, erratic action of a jerk shad with nonstop movement from the curly tail, this leads to an incredibly versatile lure that can successfully fill many rolls in your tackle box. We've designed these with durability in mind & use a hard plastic formula, they are not indestructible, but the balance in action & durability is as good as it gets.
SIZES/QUANTITIES PER PACK
SIZES/QUANTITIES PER PACK
We sell 4 sizes in our curly tail jerkshads, 3", 4", 5.5" & 7"
Quantity of baits per pack in each size are:
- 3" - 12 baits per pack
- 4" - 8 baits per pack
- 5.5" - 6 baits per pack
- 7" - 4 baits per pack
RIGGING
RIGGING
I prefer a standard screw lock jig head with 1/0-3/0 sized hook(I will have my own very soon!), however the longer body allows you to rig it weedless as well, which unlocks a variety of rigging options. Texas/Carolina rigs, drop shot, wacky, Alabama, tandem, if you can dream it, this lure can do it.
HOW DOES THE GARLIC HELP?
HOW DOES THE GARLIC HELP?
All of our lures are infused with a potent garlic scent, this helps cover up negative scents like sunscreen & gives the fish a little extra something to hold onto & help them find your lure. (don't ask why it works, all I know is that it does lol)
UV REFLECTIVENESS & GLOWS
UV REFLECTIVENESS & GLOWS
Bioluminescence (creatures producing light) is fairly common in the marine world, this is what our glowing colors are designed to imitate, just another little bonus to help you out in low light conditions. We also use pigments that reflect UV light rays from the sun, these travel further underwater than the rest of the light rays and fish can see them which means they can see the uv reflective lures form further away.
WORKING/ACTION
WORKING/ACTION
Do not over think this. I treat these as jerkshads with extra action from the curly tail, I tend to work these back & forth erratically with quick series of short, sharp twitches of the rod tip followed by pauses & adjust accordingly. Speed, length of pauses, drops etc. are all going to vary on your fishing style, conditions, etc. Try slower & faster retrieves, fish the surface, bottom & everything in between until you figure out what the fish want. The best advice I can give about this is to pay attention to what you are doing & how you are doing it so when you get a bite you can put the lure back in the zone & replicate what lead to the bite.If you're not paying attention it will take you much longer to figure out what's going on.
Formulated to be the brightest glowing soft plastic lure you’ve ever seen, from docklight trout to beachfront Tarpon, Garlic Glow Stick lights ‘em up!

Frequently Asked Questions
Collapsible content
Where are your lures made?
All of our lures are designed, tested, and made in Harlingen, Texas USA. We produce everything in-house with our small team of five, using materials sourced from U.S.-based suppliers, and we ship every order ourselves from our South Texas warehouse.
Do you really make everything in-house?
Yes. We design our own lures, run production in our own facility, bag/tag orders, and ship them ourselves. We do this on purpose so we can control quality and keep everything consistent.
When will my order ship?
We are currently under extreme demand shipping times are currently 4 to 5 business days. Most orders ship within 1–2 business days. We’re a small operation, so if we get a rare surge of orders, shipping can take a little longer, but we usually get caught up quickly.
Do you offer exchanges?
Yes. If you want to exchange unused lures, reach out through the chat box in the bottom right corner of our website and we’ll take care of you. We’re not responsible for return shipping.
What’s your return policy?
If you’re not happy for any reason, send back what you don’t like and we’ll refund you after we receive it, minus shipping. We’re not responsible for return shipping (whether it’s a return or an exchange).
What makes the Curly Tail Jerkshad different?
It’s a hybrid design. It has the erratic action of a jerkshad plus nonstop movement from a curly tail. It’s extremely versatile and can cover a lot of roles in your tackle box.
Are your lures durable?
We designed them for durability and use a hard plastic formula. They’re not indestructible, but the balance of action and toughness is about as good as it gets for a soft plastic.
What sizes do you sell?
We sell four sizes. We offer 3", 4", 5.5", and 7".
How many lures come in each pack?
3" — 12 per pack.
4" — 8 per pack.
5.5" — 6 per pack.
7" — 4 per pack.
What jigheads or hook sizes do you recommend?
A standard screw-lock jighead is my go-to. I usually run a 1/0–3/0 hook depending on size and application. The longer body also rigs great weedless, which opens up a ton of options.
Can I rig these weedless or use other rigs besides jigheads?
Absolutely. Texas rig, Carolina rig, drop shot, wacky rig, Alabama rig, tandem rigs—if you can dream it, this lure can do it.
How should I work the lure?
Don’t overthink it. Treat it like a jerkshad with extra action from the curly tail. Work it back and forth with quick, short twitches and pauses, then adjust speed, pause length, and depth based on conditions and what the fish want.
Any advice for getting better with it faster?
Pay attention to exactly what you’re doing when you get a bite. Track your retrieve speed, pause length, depth, and cadence so you can replicate it and stay in the zone.
Why do your lures smell like garlic?
All of our lures are infused with a strong garlic scent. It helps mask negative scents (like sunscreen) and gives fish something extra to hold onto so they commit longer and find your lure easier.
Do the glowing and UV colors actually help?
Yes. Our glowing colors are designed to imitate bioluminescence for low light conditions. We also use UV-reflective pigments that can be seen from farther away underwater because UV light travels farther than many other light rays.
What’s the deal with size selection—how do I choose the right one?
3" is great for smaller prey, picky fish, sight fishing, and smaller species. Big fish still crush them too.
4" is the everyday, do-it-all size for most inshore situations.
5.5" is great when you want more weight and a bigger profile for deeper water, nearshore, jetties, surf, and windy days.
7" is the big meal option. Trout and reds will hammer it inshore, and it’s excellent for jetties and offshore species too.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free shipping over $69. This is USA only. This cannot be combined with other discounts.
What’s the best way to contact you?
Use the chat box in the bottom right corner of the website. It’s the fastest way to reach us for help with orders, returns/exchanges, and general questions.
