Designed From The Ground Up To Outperform & Outlast

In the “Secret Sauce” post I touched briefly on the overall
design of our baits and how we compound multiple factors to deliver a design
that is durable, versatile and has a killer action.

In this post we’re gonna dive a little bit deeper into what
those factors are and how they’re gonna help you catch more fish.

Now, when it comes to soft plastics, you could have a
lure perfectly designed by God himself to be unquestionably devoured by every
fish immediately upon seeing it …and it wouldn’t matter at all if you made it
with a crap plastic formula that didn’t fit the design.

If the plastic formula you’re using is way too soft, your
lure is going to be torn to shreds by even the smallest fish, but on the
flipside, if it’s too hard, your lure is going to be stiff and lifeless as a
toothbrush.

Neither of these are ideal, the real money comes in finding
the right balance of toughness and flexibility that allows your lure to
maintain its action AND its integrity so that you can spend more time getting
bit and less time replacing torn up lures.

Finding that ideal balance though is a difficult enough
task, now couple that with also needing the plastic formula to have certain
properties that allow for successful garlic infusion, and you’ve got a sense of what our
early days were like..

I believe we went through over a dozen different formulas
just to find a couple that kinda worked, then we had to further refine those
over time to get it dialed into what we use today.

I think you’ll agree that it was totally worth it!

That plastic formula strikes the perfect balance of
toughness and flexibility while also being perfectly suited for the garlic
infusion process, allowing our lures’ design(s) to really shine.

Now that the right plastic formula is settled, the next
factor is the design itself, this can be broken down into two parts, the body
and the tail.

Our lures’ body is designed with plenty of ‘meat’ which
gives you a little extra weight for added casting distance and can withstand
multiple strikes from viscous predators, plus we don’t weaken it with any
hook-slots or hollow cavities,

The longer, meatier body also allows our lures to be rigged
up anyway you can think of, you can use push on and screw lock jig heads,
weedless hooks, drop them under a cork or behind a jig as a trailer, sky’s the
limit!

Pro Tip: Hook sizes ranging from #1-3/0 work best for our
4”size and larger/smaller for our corresponding sizes.

Being able to rig our lures however you want leads us to the
next part of the equation, which is being able to work our lures however
you want.

The fish are always in different moods, sometimes they like
a quick and erratic action, sometimes they like a slow bump along the bottom,
sometimes you can catch ‘em just reeling straight in, sometimes they like the
classic “twitch-twitch-pause” method and/or everything in between, you know how
it goes.

With our design you can achieve an infinite variation of
actions with the same bait, allowing you to do way more while carrying way
less, we call this “high speed, low drag”

And the best part is, with the plastic formula dialed in
with the design, no matter how you choose to work and rig ‘em, that tail
is always gonna be fluttering, giving your lure a life-like action that
will entice strikes from even the most finnicky fish!

I almost forgot to talk about the tails.. lol

This one’s already getting kinda long so I’ll touch on this
real quick and wrap it up,

Curly tails aren’t known for being the most durable design
out there, and that was one of the first areas we addressed,

The way our lures’ body tapers down into the tail, if
something grabs the end of the tail and pulls hard enough to tear it, the tail
will tear at the end where it’s being pulled from instead of from the base
where it connects to the body like most curly tail designs,

This way you retain more of your tail through short strikes
and can adjust your action and hooksets accordingly before you lose your whole
tail.

Which saves you time and money!

On that note, I think this one’s taken enough time,

As usual, I really appreciate you reading through these
