Where Our Lures Are Made
I’m sure you’ve seen misleading phrases like “assembled in
America” advertised on products before
To put it mildly, there are a lot of.. shenanigans out there
when it comes to companies disclosing where their products are actually made
And in the interest of playing no part in said shenanigans,
I feel it’s necessary to clearly and explicitly state where our lures are from
and produced!
A.M. Fishing was founded in a small town named Harlingen,
deep down in South Texas (which also happens to be my hometown)
And that is exactly where our warehouse still sits, where
all our baits are produced, bagged, tagged, then shipped all over the place by
our awesome team,
Even though it's a little more difficult to manage a
warehouse full of production machines, people, pay roll, raw material
inventory, sellable inventory etc, we're happy to do it rather than outsource
everything like so many other lure companies.
Our lures are Made In the USA, by Americans and that will
never change as long as I am in control of this company.
Every single one of our lures is made in house,
In fact, for the first few years of business, I personally
produced every single lure we sold.
Our designs are our own
Our molds/production equipment come from Louisiana,
Our plastic comes from Ohio,
Our colorants come from Dallas,
You get the point.
There are a few items that come from outside the US, but
only because they are either basically impossible to get made over here and/or
the US suppliers are ordering them from overseas anyway
(we actually had one that we were ordering so much from that
they stopped re-packaging and were just sending us the packages directly from
their overseas supplier).
The second I find a US based supplier for something sourced
out of country, even if it’s more expensive, I make the switch.
Not to say there’s anything wrong with products from outside
our borders, I would simply rather support U.S. Businesses personally.
Anyway, just wanted to clear that up real quick.
Thanks for hangin out,
-M.
