The "Secret Sauce" Behind A.M. Fishing Lures

Upon first contact with our glowing garlicky goodness, you
might find yourself asking, “What is up with this garlic stinkin’ glowing stuff
and(depending on the context) how is it catching all the dang fish?!”, and that
is exactly the question I’m here today to answer, so let’s jump right in, shall
we?

First off, let’s start with the Garlic, all of our lures are
infused with potent garlic sauce that we figured out how to get IN the plastic,
it's not just a light coating on the outside of the lure that comes off in two
casts, it will last the life of the lure and will literally never wear
off, like ..ever.

This garlic scent does a few things for you:

  1. It
covers up scents that repel fish, like sunscreen, bug spray and/or
nicotine, just to name a few
  2. It
helps attract fish to your lure, especially if they’re keying in on scent
to help them find prey that day
  3. It
covers up the flavor of the plastic, causing the fish to hold on longer
    after they strike

Bottom line is, it helps increase your odds of catching
fish, I go more in depth about scents and how they help here.

Second off will be my favorite feature we packed into our
lures, the glows. Sure, they look cool and help at night, but it’s how they
help you during the day that really makes the difference.

That is, they reflect Ultra Violet (UV) Light.

Why does this matter? Because light works drastically
differently underwater, I get more into this in this post, but simply put,

Water filters out light very quickly, except for UV Light,
which penetrates deeper and travels further through the water than all other
light!

Because of that, fish have adapted eyes that are able to
pick up on UV light, something we can’t see as humans.

Here's a GIF of our lures with the lights on and then under
a UV light, showing the difference between what we see and then what the fish
see (more or less)

Basically, our glows and fluorescent colorants that reflect
UV Light, allow the fish to see your bait from further away than if they were
just basic colors, which increases the chances of your lure being noticed and
ultimately, eaten!

Thirdly, our lures are designed to be super versatile and
durable, while they are not indestructible, they are designed to be as durable
as a soft plastic can be without sacrificing action and usability,

Routinely catching several toothy saltwater critters on a
single one of our lures is a reasonable expectation!

A few factors work in combination to accomplish this:

1.      We use an extra tough
plastic formula that has just enough give to retain our lures’ killer action,
but also maintains its integrity, even while dealing with voracious predators.

2.      Our lures are designed
with plenty of ‘meat’ in their bodies and we don’t include any hook slots or
hollow cavities that would basically just serve to weaken the lures.

3.      The profile and body
of our lures are designed so that you can rig them up and work them anyway you
can think of, from jig heads to weedless hooks and slow to erratic action

4.      Our curly tails are
tapered out, designed to break at the end of the tail where it’s being pulled
from, not the base like most where you lose your whole tail to one short strike

(You can find more on the durability, versatility and action
of our lures here.)

So, as you can see, our lures are definitely designed to
last and there are no plans to ever change that. You can rest assured we are
not going to be one of those companies whose lures “mysteriously” get softer
and weaker over time up to the point that you can barely get one fish out of
each bait.

Also, adding to the versatility are the 4 sizes we sell our
lures in, 3”
4” 5” & 7”(soon)
. With these in over 34 colors to choose from you can
be prepared for anything from small freshwater crappie to big grouper and
tarpon offshore,

All of our lures are made in the USA, in-house at our
facility in a little town called Harlingen, in deep south Texas.

In essence, when you’re throwing our lures, the garlic, the
glows, the action, colors, versatility and durability are all working for you,
day in and day out, on every.single.cast.

Each one by itself incrementally increases your chances of
success, which is good, but the reel magic, is when they all come together,
compounding their effectiveness to vastly increase your chances of success on
the water in a way that no other soft plastic has ever come close to,

And that, my friend, is what’s up with the
glowing, garlicky goodness,

Now,

Go Getcha Some!
